Running for life

You are running. The only thing that echoes in your head: “Run! Run! Run!” You can’t stop. You have to keep running. Your life depends on it.

It feels like forever. You are just running and running. How many minutes have already passed. Two? Ten? Maybe an hour?  You don’t know. You are still running.

The wind smashes your face. The leaves are beating you up but you are still running because you can’t stop. You have to keep running even if it costs you your life.

You can hardly even breath. You’re muscles are dying. Oxygen is laughing at you. You feel like you ran through a pot full of frogs. Blisters are showing up. Your hair is transforming into a helmet. Your arms feel like a newly grown wings that you don’t know how to use. Your heart lost its mind because it’s beating like crazy. But still… you are running.

You feel like an eternity has already passed. You feel that your getting older. Your legs feel like they are on fire and your stomach is letting you know that you have one.

You’re running and not paying any attention to where you are going. That was a big mistake. But you can’t stop. You have to keep running.

Your shoe laces came undone. But you don’t have time for that. You have to run. Your life depends on it.

Your eyes have been open for such a long time. They feel like as if you were staring into a computer screen for three days straight.

For some reason you start to remember the things you learnt during Chemistry: something about lactic acid. But that’s not important so the thought of running over beats the thought of remembering something from Chemistry.

After a while you finally realize it… You are running. You start to laugh because you think what kind of idiot actually would run at 6am. But then comes a new realization… that idiot is… you. You want to stop and laugh properly but your body doesn’t listen to you and you or rather your body keeps running. But then… wait. Why do you know what time it is? You keep searching for the answer while still running. Oh yeah! You feel like your wrist got stuck between two chairs. Speaking of chairs… you’d love to or even die to sit down and rest. But you can’t. You’re running… Then you think what have you been doing before. The only answer you can come up with is that you were running. Oh but wait a minute you ARE still running. So what were you doing before? Running. Running. And again running.

After some reaaaaaally long time you get enlightened. The reason why you are running… Oh you are at your destination:

“Two loaf of bread, please.”

“Three dollars.”

“Thank you.”

“Have a nice day.”

To sum it up:

1. You stopped.

2. You weren’t running anymore.

3. You got to your destination right on time.

4. They were having special event: 1+1 bread

5. You’re a broke student.

02: Negotiations

The next day Thomas overslept. He was already in a hurry but his dog Beanie was trying to get his attention.

“Oh, Beanie I forgot to feed you,” Thomas went into the kitchen to take out the dog food. “Here you go. be a good boy okay?”

Thomas was literally running to get on time into the school but he didn’t make it on the time anyway.

“I’m sorry there was a dog emergency,” apologized Thomas when he got in the class about a half an hour late.

“Hey man what were you actually doing?” whispered Timmy.

“I oversle…” he wasn’t even able to finish his sentence because of their History teacher:

“Well since you got here late I have a job for you,” she handed him a package of books. “Bring this into the classroom 97.” Thomas obediently went there. To his surprise there was the class 8.C. He knocked on the door and then went in:

“Miss Boyle sends you this,” Thomas handed over the books. He didn’t even notice the uproar he caused when he got in. Almost all the ladies who were single were trying to have a good catch for the prom. And the reason why he was so dense? He caught a glimpse of the hair blonde girl. She was sitting alone in the third row next to the window. She didn’t even pay attention to him.

“Thank you,” voice of the teacher took him back. “You can go now.”

“Yes,” he just muttered a short answer. When he got back to his class the lesson was already over.

“You took there forever!” hit Timmy Tom’s back. “I thought you got lost and I would have had to find you!” Timmy was laughing.

“Nah I just skipped the whole lesson,” laughed Thomas too. “By the way has anyone gone to negotiate with the other classes yet?”

“They have already spoken with both the classes,” said Timmy.

“And…?” Thomas was little impatient.

“Nothing official yet but the answers were kind of negative,” reported Timmy.

“Who is in charge of the negotiations?”

“I think it’s Jenn and Berry… Why?” Timmy got curious.

“I’m gonna go with them then,” decided Thomas.

“So you do prefer a class!” shouted Timmy.

“…” Thomas just mysteriously smiled. The lessons passed quickly by and school was already over. Thomas agreed to meet with Jenn and Berry in front of the school. They were going to meet the other class at the Leaf café. As soon as they got into the café the representative of the other class spotted them and were waving at them:

“Hi guys!” a girl tried to get their attention.

“Hi, I’m Jenn,” started Jenn first.

“Berry. Nice to meet you and have you ordered something?” asked hungrily Berry.

Jenn glared at him. She sent him the look that said: Are you stupid!? We are here to negotiate!

Tom caught their exchange of words and quickly took care of the situation:

“Ha actually I’m starving so how about we order something?” The girls were already so much in love with him and when he smiled at them their hearts were completely shot.

The negotiations were rather a flirt contest but none of the girls actually got him. Thanks to him the negotiations went well. Both sides agreed to said conditions but still set one more date in order to inform their classes about the results but mostly it was because of the girls who were so in love with Tom.
“Goodness Berry! You haven’t helped at all! You were just stuffing your mouth!” complained Jenn ob the way home.

“It’s not my fault. You didn’t make me a lunch!” sent Berry puppy eyes to Jenn.

“That’s your punishment for forgetting our date yesterday!” argued Jenn. Little did she know that he was working overtime because he was planning to take her to a restaurant on their next anniversary.

“I said I’m sorry sweetie,” rubbed Berry his cheek to Jenn’s hand. Eventually Jenn has forgiven him because he was way too cute:

“Fine apology accepted but next time…!”

Thomas was watching their making up and chuckled. He actually forgot that they were an item:

“I have to go to a bookstore so see you guys tomorrow.” Thomas didn’t want to be their third wheel. He waved and quickly leaved.

01: First encounter

It was the first day of Autumn. Sun was running out of strength and leaves were covering every path. There were two kinds of people… the first one loved Autumn the others hated it. That were especially the students. But there were few who had better thing to do than to think about Autumn:

“Hey, with which class are we?”

“How about we ask 8.C?”

“No, I want to be with 8.F!”

“But I’ve heard that they are working with 8.D.”

“Nah 8.D is working with 8.A.”

“I heard that 8.A is working with 8.B!”

“Everyone calm down! First of all 8.A is definitely working with 8.D, second of all we don’t know anyone from 8.B so they are out of question which leads us to… 8.C and 8.F,”  stood up Timothy Harris.

“And how do you know that Timmy?”

“From my secret source,” smiled Timmy which actually made the whole class to shiver because Timmy hardly smiles. “Let’s vote.” I was a tie because of Thomas Andrews.

“On which side are you Tom?”

“No offense Timmy but even if we vote shouldn’t we ask the other classes first?” answered Thomas logically.

“The ones who were for 8.C… go ask them and who were for 8.F… you guys go,” divided Timmy each groups job. “What should I do about you, Tom?”

“And what about you?” smirked Thomas.

“You got me there,” laughed Timmy. Timmy could be himself only if Thomas was around. “I have to go to my old man’s house.”

“Busy hmm… well I have something to do as well so see ya tomorrow!” waved Thomas to Timmy as he was going through the door. Thomas headed to the lockers. He was quite in a hurry. He was meeting with Christopher Denski, his childhood friend. While Thomas was checking his mobile phone he crashed into someone.

“Oh sorry,” apologized quickly Thomas and helped that person to pick up the books.

“That’s fine,” said a blonde hair girl. “I wasn’t paying attention too.” As she said that she went away. For some reason Thomas felt like something important happened. He was just thinking about what exactly had happened when his phone rang:

“Ah man where the heck are you?” Richie sounded as if he was really annoyed.

“I’m on my way already,” went Thomas faster because he knew that Richie attracts too many people.

“Gosh I thought I’d been eaten alive!” cried almost Richie.

“Haha a good friend would spare his best friend but you…” whispered Thomas because he felt that both of them attracted even more looks. “Let’s go.” They had planned to have a bowling game. They went into a new opened bowling center. There were neon lights all over the place while  music was played in the background. The place belonged to Richie’s friend.

“Wow it’ s spacious!” Thomas was amazed.

“Well what else could you have awaited from Anne?” laughed Richie.

“Hi Chris!” greeted Anne.

“We were just speaking about you!” hugged Richie Anne.

“You must have badmouthed me again!” laughed Anne.

“Oh you have a radar for that?” teased Richie Anne.

“You…!” hit Anne Richie’s shoulder.

“Haha I almost forgot Anne this is Thomas and Tom this is Yuliane,” introduced Richie Thomas and Yuliane.

“Hi and welcome,” smiled Yuliane at Thomas.

“Superb place,” nodded Thomas.

“Okay, okay now that the introduction is over… let’s go play!” grabbed Richie both Thomas and Yuliane. Yuliane showed the around and suggested to order the house’s special. The bowling center was connected with a restaurant. Yuliane went away to welcome other people. Thomas and Richie hanged there about for two more hours.

“Hey man let’s hang out sometime again!” waved happily and lightly drunk Richie. Thomas thought that Richie’s mood had to do something with Yuliane.  As for Thomas… he couldn’t forget the blond hair girl…
